What sort of furniture do you upholster?

Over the years I have taken on a variety of projects. Please take a look at my project page which gives you an idea of work I have undertaken.  If you have a piece of furniture in need of a little TLC, don't hesitate to get in touch and I'll advise how I can help.

What costs are involved in reupholstering my furniture?

The costs involved depend entirely on what work needs to be undertaken, and a seat pad will obviously be much lower cost than recovering an entire chaise longue! When I am quoting for work on your item of furniture, I will take into account your budget and give a range of options. I am completely upfront about my charges so there's no unexpected hidden costs.

Do you have a collection of fabric samples?

Yes, I have sample books from Art of the Loom, Jim Dickens, Kobe and Voyage fabric design houses. I am able to source a wide variety of fabrics, and can get samples of these at the client's request.

Can I provide my own fabric for you to use?

I can source a wide range of fabrics to suit your furniture and your requirements, but if you have some specific fabric you would like me to use, I am more than happy to do this.

Do you make curtains/cushions/soft furnishings?

I am happy to make soft furnishings to complement your home, and my cushions and lampshades are particularly popular! Contact me for a bespoke quotation.

Can you collect the item from my house, and deliver back to me?

Yes, collection and delivery is all part of the service. Only if I needed help at the client’s house and had to enlist a third party would there be a small charge.

How long will it take to complete the work?

I am always very busy with lots of projects going on, so timescales will be given a part of my quotation. If I am restoring an older piece of furniture that requires substantial time, this will extend the project but I will advise of any changes as I am working.

Do I have to pay for the work upfront?

No, I generally do not take any money until the item is delivered to the client. Only if a large amount of fabric was required would I ask for part payment to cover costs.
